Experience |
Michael is a graduate of The G P Plekhanov Institute of National Economy in Moscow and the The All-Union Academy of Foreign Trade of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Trade.
He worked for the USSR Ministry of Foreign Trade, Department of Foreign Trade with Western Countries, which subsequently became the Main Department of Economic Co-operation with Developed Capitalist Countries.
From 1989 – 2009 he was Chairman and majority owner of Greenfield JSC. Activities included production and export of steel, development of timber concessions, manufacture of machine tools and engineering products, establishment of cash-and carry retail chain, banking and tourism. Greenfield JSC was rated as one of most successful enterprises in the Russian Federation. He was also Chairman and majority owner of Joint Stock Commercial Bank ‘Greenfield’.
Michael, from his base in Moscow and Malta, now concentrates on the development of renewable energy projects from biomass and waste, especially in the Former Soviet Union. |
